Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: MEDUZA (2023)
Artist: MEDUZA

Here’s a really nice deep dub album to set your summer off on the right foot.
MEDUZA hit it big on the European club circuit coming out of Italy, making poppy electronica with delightfully smooth undertones, the sort of bass lines that probably hit way harder on copious amounts of drugs and/or the beach, but will do in a pinch when you’re sweating out mile 4 of a walk and it’s a touch hotter than you anticipated.
What’s really impressive to me is the list of collaborators here - sure, there are EDM mainstays like Goodboys, but MEDUZA also nabbed Becky Hill and Hozier? It shouldn’t make sense - and there are definite missteps here, points where no smoothness can overcome the inherent awkwardness of the musical equivalent of bringing all your friend groups together at once off-rip.
And yet - despite a roster that might suggest struggles with flavor, like all good Ibiza dance parties, the bass overwhelms and everything comes up Italiano tonight.
