Welcome back to the Daily Spin, the series in which I review 365 albums during 2023.
Each album will be given a rating on a scale from 0 to 10. You can look at the entire set here. Additionally, you can check out a list of my favorite song from each album right here.

I don’t really know why I dislike this, but I do.
The biggest flaw in this album above others seems to be that, at its heart, it’s just Fanatics-brand Britpop, the sort of music that refuses to be good at what it ostensibly is trying to be, yet also doesn’t know when to quit on its dream. It’s a 46-year old baseball player toiling in the Pecos League, turning in a -2.3 WAR season and screaming at the manager that suggests that maybe it’s time to put the cleats away.
Beyond the closing song, one that entirely decries the notion of connecting to music - which I cannot disagree with strongly enough - the album walks this weird line between piano bar music and the type of music I feel like I would have heard in a very mediocre 80s TV show, or on a parody done by some sort of Whose Line Is It comedy.
It’s just not enjoyable to listen to. There’s not much else for me to say.
