Album: Wilderado (2021)
Artist: Wilderado

This is fun music, plain and simple. Though my main gripe with the album is that no track stands out as particularly memorable for me, I do enjoy the energy in this record - each song has a driving force to it, and no one tune holds too fast or too slow.
Good pacing is integral to an album, and Wilderado have nailed it here, as each song runs as long as it needs to without dragging or pulling itself into a bad state - and though, yes, as I mentioned, there are times where it’s difficult to distinguish the tracks, by and large, each one has a lovely flavor of its own that gives the album at large a developed palette.
Though this isn’t necessarily generational or cutting edge, it’s exactly what it needs to be and more importantly, it seems to be exactly what it wants to be. That’s the hallmark of a good album.
