Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Inhale/Exhale (2024)
Artist: RUFUS DU SOUL

Bangers only.
Seriously - this is a remarkably complete effort. After a lackluster couple of albums, music that was solid but uninspiring, this is a revelation - Rufus are at their best here, creating beautifully expansive electronica that demands attention on the dance floor.
As always, the record soars clearest when the bass is thick - deft percussive choices make themselves very apparent here, and the big room ethos of so much of this band’s work plays front and center at the best of it consistently - they’ve got the fastball back and it has HEAT.
Not to say it’s perfect - there’s a pretty distinct lack of cohesion here that almost feels like the tracks are a little out of order. Nothing devastating, but noticeable enough!
