Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: VIDE (2020)

The best part of this album is the cover.
The brightest moment on the record is ‘BEN AFFLECK’, a menacing, swaggering beast delivered over an industrial beat and a very horror-esque piano, lurking in those shadows. It’s tightly orchestrated - every couplet feels targeted, and they all hit over the course of two and a half minutes. It’s easy to see how this made the FIFA Volta soundtrack.
The rest of the album, however, feels like a D-team version of some combination of Brockhampton, Injury Reserve, and Danny Brown - all of the off-kilter shenaniganry, lacking the majority of the cleverness that allowed those artists to shine.
Where Injury Reserve take the silliness and build within it to find a sort of symbiotic relationship, instead it feels like seeyousoon take it in direct competition. Where Danny Brown spits lines alternating comedic and heartbreaking, it’s in a way that makes it clear that however you feel about his delivery, there’s heft behind it that can’t be avoided, while this record drowns it out any way it can.
The salvation here is that the production at its best is immaculate. It just needed something different as topping.
