Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Perfectionism (2020)

Sure, there are moments where Perfectionism is far from it - the lyrics are vulgar, often heavy-handed like you would not believe, and for a band that does heavy so well, they’re quite quick to deviate.
All the same, as soon as that roaring chorus hits on ‘Jungle’, I’m scream-singing along like it’s 2006 again. For all that it’s a little hokey and more than a little dated, it’s also a raucous and wildly enjoyable album, touches of Grouplove that are paired with a heavier affect to wildly positive impact.
I just think this is a super fun record, one that manages to do everything it sets out to do successfully enough that none of its sticking points are flytraps - and to boot, it doesn’t run into the pitfalls that so many other records of this ilk do.
