Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Pharmacy (2015)

A good test of longevity is coming back to an album after years of not so much as thinking about it, then reviewing it for your daily album series a decade after the fact. It definitely doesn’t leave you feeling horribly old.
Anyways, let’s talk about an album I pretty much stopped listening to after my sophomore year of college. Come on down, Galantis.
Okay - the production is pretty average, the hooks leave a fair bit to be desired, and yet I find myself hooked thoroughly every time.
There’s something about the poppy, jubilant, overwrought sound here - most notably on the vocals, but everywhere if I’m being honest. It’s cloying, saccharine, and objectively not all that great - and yet, I find myself occasionally coming back despite everything.
When it’s good, this is tremendously danceable music - the kind of sound the band clearly should have stuck with as opposed to desperately trying to find The Next Big Sound. Instead, you get a group so convinced that lightning will strike twice that they’re sacrificing their best work to make that happen. A shame.
