Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Run (2015)
Artist: Alison Wonderland

Alison Wonderland made headlines for her intoxicatingly alluring live shows - the type of raves people crowded halls for in immense numbers - a refreshing face at the front of electronica riding the surge in popularity the genre was experiencing at the time. It wasn’t without reason, either - the mixes were lethal, the type of future trap production that felt well ahead of its time back in the heydays of her most popular works.
And yet, looking back, I’m left scratching my head.
The best moments here don’t hit the same highs - which is to be expected, this is a genre that almost always works better live, but it’s amazing how much of Wonderland’s live production was integral to these tracks. Without them, the album reeks of overproduction and hooks get lost far too easily, meaning you’re spending minutes at a time with almost nothing to show for it.
