Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: We Live In A Society (2025)
Artist: Flume & JPEGMAFIA

This one’s just a miss on pretty much every front.
It’s disappointing. These two have worked together before - a feature on Flume’s 2019 mixtape gave us ‘How To Build A Relationship’, arguably the best track on that record, boisterous with surprising heart.
This, instead, feels like slop. The worst of it is ‘AI Girlfriend’, featuring woeful auto tune that grates on first and every listen thereafter, and when it’s not poor tuning, Peggy sounds like he doesn’t want to be there or like he’s just here for a quick snippet.
Flume does his best, here, but even he’s lost a bit off his fastball - for two guys so well-versed in experimental production, this is not all that experimental nor is it particularly solid - choosing neither from the list of options.
Didn’t click. I hope the next projects these guys put out are better.
