Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Ready For You (2015)
Artist: Hunter Hunted

Remarkably unremarkable - the tagline for pretty much every indie pop album that came out around this time - as the genre skyrocketed in popularity, finding new and innovative ways to get involved got harder and harder.
That said, there’s some real fun here. The standout is the titular track, which unfortunately means the rest of the album is a steady downhill decline. A sound that very much works better when it’s emulating the ‘FIFA pop’ sound of the early teens is too often traded in for something that sounds like what I could best describe as ‘what if The Lumineers and Twenty One Pilots took ecstasy and had a baby’. It’s an interesting proposition, surely, but most of I’m just kinda left wondering why the album has to do so much at once.
Rating: 7/10
