Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Fibonacci Pt. 1: Oblivion (2025)

Here’s a weird one.
For maybe the first time, my least favorite part of a record isn’t actually anything the artist did or has done - it’s what they take from others. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, the issue here with Fibonacci Pt. 1 is the sampling, and god… it’s bad.
Wooli and Subtronics are two artists I enjoy greatly - I’ve had the privilege to see them both live, and both put on an absolutely fantastic show, even if your entire head is ringing a little bit after from the sonic impact - and yet ‘Lock In’ is far and away the least pleasant track on this record - in no small part, I think, because the choice of audio clips are off-putting to a degree that makes the record hard to enjoy.
When you step away from that, the music gets markedly better. It’s nothing revolutionary compared to previous releases like last year’s Tesseract, so won’t really score much higher, but it’s good solid dub with little to complain about. That’s the kind of stuff I want to listen to at shows and at home.
