Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Dare (2016)
Artist: Northeast Party House

Everything about this album screams ‘rager’, which is really delightful in times like these. We need more party tunes made by party people, and while your definition of what that looks like might shift with the times as mine has, there’s something really fun about nostalgia-flavored electronica for me.
Part of me thinks this would be more intriguing if it were more distinct from its predecessor - this is an album that does no work to explore or grow the groups’ horizons. It’s good party music, but it’s like watching a toddler play Wii Sports baseball - all fastballs, all moderately fast, but rarely ever special.
