Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Shadows (2019)

I love this kinda sound, but even I can acknowledge that there’s not a whole lot of substance here. Seven songs, mostly about the vague concept of love, all pleasant enough to listen to, but not quite enough to really fade into nothingness.
It’s the ideal music to have in the background at an H&M or something, the kind of music that I can see myself bobbing my head to while I wander racks of jeans. Mall music.
Don’t get me wrong - I fear I’m coming off a hater here. I like this music a lot. The vocals are strong, the instrumentals are earworms in the right way - I just refuse to lie about what exactly this is at its core. I just wish the sound were more expansive, a little more fruitful, made some effort to be bigger than exactly what the label says.
