Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Ritual (2022)
Artist: Bay Ledges

Super fun and pleasant indie pop that doesn’t ever really breach the bounds of the box it puts itself in. Content to be nothing more than what is advertised, it’s kind of refreshing to get an album that doesn’t feel any need to be or make a grand statement on society.
There’s not a whole lot to be said - and sure, I talk positively about it, but it is a little frustrating to go thirty-six minutes walking through vacuous space. The lyrics are pleasant enough, but rarely does anything on this stick beyond fleeting moments, the kind of music you may hear perusing clothing at a mall or in an elevator, flashing lights in the back of your mind.
Still, it’s a nice enough summertime experience. Weird to be hearing it when the next week is supposed to be below zero, but that makes it a pleasant reminder of things to come.
