Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Rolodex (2020)

Man. The production here is so great. Genuinely enjoyable sound - halfway to that oceanside Southern California feel, touches of that Angeleno reverb in the guitars, but the creeping Northeastern sensibilities move through each track in just the right way.
This is basically my platonic ideal for an early summer cruise album - I’m already looking forward to throwing this on while I battle the construction on every road in the entire state of Minnesota. Might not quite have the sing-along factor, but the instrumentation is easily good enough to overcome any sort of lingering feeling over that.
At a scant twenty-six minutes, there’s not really time to get bored - good thing, as there’s not a tremendous variety here. Then again - what’s that saying?
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
