Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: I Love You, Dude (2011)
Artist: Digitalism

Justice but worse?
This is a further evolution of Digitalism’s 2007 debut, but it lacks the punch of any of the other quote-unquote blog-house albums that were all the rage circa 2010.
I really want to like this album, is the thing, but there’s just nothing there that hasn’t been done better - Justice are the biggest name that come to mind, a fellow European duo with a taste for the combination of house and rock. Justice, however, implemented the edge cases of metal and bass house to accentuate, whereas this just exists as itself. It’s never bad, but it’s never truly good.
