I’m not going to lie to you and pretend this is some radical schism in the world of electronic music, some tentpole work that people will refer to for years and years to come as That One Record. I won’t even pretend it’ll have any sort of deeply lingering impact on the global conscious.
However, I will note that there’s a really remarkable affinity for grooves on display here, the sort of consistency most people can only really dream of. It’s that remarkable ability to continually find a baseline and make it work that makes this a much more appealing work than it might be otherwise - if for no other reason than its hit rate.
