Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.

B-tier Dayglow hits the scene, drops immense banger that ruins my listening habits for six months, then disappears (goes back to making the kind of music that is done better by others).
Pretty much sums it up. It’s lovely easy listening, with some nice flair - the chorus on ‘Motel’ is a particular highlight, with that circular chorus scratching a lot of itches for me. The rest, however, feels a little flat - there’s only so many ways you can present a wheel as something new and innovative before you’ve covered it all, and it somewhat feels like we’ve hit that nadir here.
The guitar work is nice enough to the ear to separate this from the other contenders, but I’m not sure that I’d spend a lot of time coming back to this - I wore my ears thin of this sound with ‘Oysters In My Pocket’, and I’m okay leaving it there.
