Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Size of Relief (2019)
Artist: Young & Sick

Young & Sick have always kind of existed in the between spaces, somewhere shy of true commitment to one sound or genre. In a sense, it holds them back - without any sense of definition, it’s hard grow into a space and a sound to call their own, but Y&S have managed, in the wider sense, to find space where there otherwise would be none in a vaporous sort of groove.
It’s this sound that carries every single EP that Young & Sick put out, and Size of Relief is no different. The danceable nature of a lot of the music here is prominent in a way not really seen in much of Young & Sick’s discography, to pleasant effect - but there’s not a lot of wildly delightful substance here. The visuals are prime, as always, but that’s about all.
