Welcome back to the Daily Spin. For the uninitiated, this is the series in which I review an album every day of 2025.
As was the case two years ago, my favorite song from each album can be found at the playlist linked here.
Album: Colourmeinkindness (2012)

This album from a short-lived British punk group is the epitome of decent - and that’s really all there is to it.
I’m not really sure what to make of this - it’s a tribute to the angst of youth and to some of the great acts of the 90s, somewhere between rock, emo, and punk without ever really solidly standing in one place.
Similarly, the album never really stands out - for a finale, there’s surprisingly little fanfare to it all - a decision that I’m grateful for, but one that I’m also mildly befuddled by. At no point do I really feel like I’m listening to some great new height or some bombastic sendoff - this is a record from a band going out not with a bang, but with something more akin to a whimper.
