Welcome back to the Daily Spin, the series in which I review 365 albums during 2023.
Each album will be given a rating on a scale from 0 to 10. You can look at the entire set here. Additionally, you can check out a list of my favorite song from each album right here.
If you want to suggest an album, good news! You can do so right here!
This is my second review for acloudyskye - you can find my first here:
Album: Blood Rushing Like Current Through A Powerline (2021)
Artist: acloudyskye

Like their other release I’ve looked at, Blood Rushing finds itself a wonky collection of electronica-like music, powerful and thrumming with emotion. The title is an accurate descriptor, as each song feels as though it’s crackling with energy and feeling.
Where I think Blood Rushing falls a little short, unfortunately, is that it falls into a pattern - whereas my last review noted how the experimental sense of acloudyskye’s work made each track feel like a new adventure to be explored, it feels as though the songs on this album have a piece of predictability to it that I’m not entirely enamored with.
It’s still great music, and I won’t be belaboring that point any more than I have to - and as negatively as I’ve been focused in this review, I still enjoy the album.
Rating: 7.4/10
Best Tracks: Harbinger; Somewhere Out There
Worst Tracks: Off And Away
