Album: When The World Stopped Moving: The Live EP (2021)
Artist: Lizzy McAlpine

With When The World Stopped Moving, Lizzy McAlpine puts on her inner Phoebe Bridgers to stunning effect - and though this isn’t always the type of music I find myself playing with great frequency, it’s the good sort of “make you feel” soft indie that has a place very near and dear to my heart.
Though I don’t find myself fawning over this album the way I’ve been more than a few people doing, I still think it’s an enjoyable experience, one that’s biggest failing is the way that all of its tracks effectively bleed into the same sentiment. This style of music can only take you so far, and it feels a bit like the album is running on empty by the time you arrive at the end.
