Nothing about this is bad - it’s just not really special.
That might seem harsh, but listening to this album instills little else in my head as far as an opinion. It’s store-bought indie pop, the sort that will make fantastic easy listening and occasionally surprises beyond expectation, but will always settle back on the ground.
The biggest boon for this record is that it’s just fun. This is the sort of infectious listening experience that slaps a smile on your face, and that’s something all you really need. Though it doesn't really push any boundaries, it doesn’t necessarily need to to still be enjoyable.
I guess that’s the point.
