MLB's radio streaming service recently switched from airing local commercial breaks to selling their ad space to a third party. Here's why that's a bad thing.
I agree with every word of this review, but things have gotten worse. I listened to the Orioles Yankees radio broadcast from Baltimore on the road this afternoon (7-24-22). The Audacy commercial breaks repeatedly ran over into the live game. In the top of the second inning, the audio didn’t rejoin the live broadcast until the count was 2-2 with two outs. What, exactly, are subscribers paying for?
AGREE! AGREE! AGREE! I absolutely HATE THIS SHIT!!! What can we DO? Audacy has KILLED Baseball audio, completely and utterly. Tonight I tuned into the Rockies-Giants game in the bottom of the ninth. There was a pitching change with two out. Commercial break. Ad, then ad, then ad after ad after ad. THEY NEVER WENT BACK TO THE GAME!!! IT WAS OVER by the time they went back!!! I am FURIOUS!

Thank you for this. I thought it was just my neurodiversity showing; glad I have a little company in this regard.
